CUTTING SYSTEMS

VOSTA LMG supplies modern cutter heads with the latest state of the art cutting systems for all applications (rock, mixed soils, sand and clay) in all sizes (from back ring ID 600 mm up to 3200 mm) and all cutter powers (from 15 kW up to 6000 kW). Due to the unique design they are the most cost-effective cutter heads available and can be custom designed to fit on any existing dredger. Additionally VOSTA LMG supplies all replacement parts like teeth, adapters, locking and liners, but also including cutter handling equipment, hoisting devices, repair equipment templates and frames.

Cutter heads

VOSTA LMG is designer and manufacturer of cutter heads and tooth systems for cutter powers of 35 kW up to 6.000 kW. The cutter heads are equipped with in-house developed and patented cutting systems. VOSTA LMG's sand/clay-, multi-purpose and rock cutter heads have significant advantages which guarantee the lowest cost per m³ dredged.

Cutting teeth

VOSTA LMG designs and manufactures tooth systems which can be used on dredge cutter heads, dragheads and cutting wheels (UCW).

Cutting wheels

Wherever accurate mining and soil excavation is required, VOSTA LMG's Underwater Cutting Wheel (UCW) is the most suitable dredging tool due to its high pick-up efficiency. Due to the UCW's direction of rotation from top to bottom, the cut soil is fed directly into the suction mouth of the dredge pump and pre-accelerates the material to support the transport process.
