VOSTA LMG cutter ladders are of a rigid steel construction, easily capable of handling the forces induced by the dredging operations. The cutter ladders are available in two standard types: pipe- or box-type.

The pipe type is easy to construct and relatively cheap. The ladder is provided with the suction line, side wire swivel sheaves and the ladder front piece. Dredging depth is limited by the performance of the dredge pump.

The box-type design is best suited for mounting an underwater dredge pump. This makes the structure heavier and so this is also a stronger design. The use of an underwater pump allows for a larger dredged density at depth. For information about the use of underwater dredge pumps click here.
