VOSTA LMG is the designer and manufacturer of the patented Vosta click-in couplings. These couplings are designed for mud and sand transport pipes and are applied under the most difficult working conditions on hopper dredgers, cutter dredgers, in floating pipelines and in alternative offshore applications.
A click-in coupling consists of a male part and a female part. To couple the connection, the male part is simply guided into the female part after which the male part is locked through a patented spring ring system. The spring ring is normally actuated by a hydraulic cylinder. Due to the spring action, the locking will not open in the absence of hydraulic pressure in the cylinder.
Disconnecting the coupling is even easier then connecting. Simply unlock the spring ring with the hydraulic cylinder and the male part can be pulled out of the connection.
