VOSTA LMG anchor booms are designed to reposition the side anchors of the dredge without assistance of a work boat.

The operating principle is simple: in rest the boom will always move back and away from the cutter; thus preventing the anchor hoisting wire from being dredged up. When the wire is tensioned, the boom will move above the anchor to break it out. When the anchor is broken out of the soil, the wires will automatically pull the boom forward to the new anchor position. After lowering the anchor, the boom will fall back into the resting position. Optionally the anchor boom can be delivered with a slewing winch, so that the boom can also be moved backwards with a load.
